Emily Ann Roberts Wows with Three Great Performances on NBC's The Voice

On last night's NBC The Voice, Emily Ann Roberts conrinued to dazzle fans with three performances. She began with Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas," which Pharrell said showed off her "classic voice." Adam Levine even admitted it proved she's the "real deal."
Roberts who is a Christian herself made a dent on the Billboard Christian Songs chart last week when her performance of the hymn "The Garden." The hymn debut at No. 14 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. However, Roberts is a country gal at her. Chosing to be part of Blake Shelton's team on the show. Her renditions of the songs, "Blame It on Your Heart", "Why Not Me", and "She's Got You", during show, charted on the Billboard magazine chart, where they placed at Nos. 43, 33, and 21 respectively on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Roberts showed her country mettle when she joined Shelton to perform Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton's "Islands in the Stream."
Then, for her last chance to impress viewers, the blonde beauty sang a relatively new country song called "Burning House." And she had the honor of closing out the two-hour broadcast. Roberts received a standing ovation from all the coaches, and Stefani said it was her "favorite" performance from the 17-year-old singer ever. Shelton went as far as predicting his artist may have just "pulled an upset."
Roberts has a passion for classic country and bluegrass and has wanted to pursue music since picking up a guitar at age 13. She and her grandmother are the only ones in her family who sing and her greatest memories are when they would sing old hymns together. After her grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Roberts started taking music very seriously. For the past three years, she has been playing steadily around Knoxville, performing regularly at a local restaurant and busking on the side. She feels that today's country has lost some of its soul and is hoping to introduce classic country to a new generation.
