"Gospel Mix 2016" Hits Stores Today With Hits By Zacardi Cortez, Ricky Dillard & More
Billboard Magazine's #1 independent gospel CEO Kerry Douglas has compiled an awesome and inspiring new collection of gospel radio smashes in "Kerry Douglas Presents Gospel Mix 2016" (Blacksmoke Music Worldwide/eOne) that hits terrestrial and online digital retailers everywhere on Friday, February 5, 2016.
The thirteen-track set launches with Ricky Dillard & New G's festive "Celebrate The King" before sliding into the smooth Top 20 hit "Great God" by Jennifer Mekel & The Boys & Girls Choir of Harlem Alumni Ensemble. This set is stacked with chart hits such as Zacardi Cortez smoking new track "#YDIA," Byron Cage's funky "Like No Other" and James Fortune & FIYA's soul-stirring ballad, "Prayer Saved My Life." Ohio trio Half Mile Home delivers an urban-friendly rhythm on their uptown Top 15 track "More Than Enuff." before gliding into Earnest Pugh's soaring new anthem "Trade It All."
The project is rounded out by several soon-to-be radio smashes such as Chad Brawley's worship tune "Greater" and Damon Little's testimonial "I Won't Be Defeated." Zacardi Cortez delivers a vocal knock-out with "Let Your Power Fall" and the Brown Boyz deliver a contemporary quartet vibe on "Harvest Time." Minneapolis' legendary gospel group James Grear & Co. is back with a song entitled "I Am Not Alone" that's destined to shoot to #1 with a compelling vocal by Paris Bennett. The album closes with Mike E.'s "Alright," a bouncy retro-flavored groove. "These gospel mixes just keep getting better and better," Douglas says. "I'm so proud of this group of songs and these artists that we're planning to take this show on the road this Spring."
