Gospel artist Ruth La'Ontra is set to record her live album on March 11th at THE RIVER CHURCH IN DURHAM, NC. The project will be produced by Anthony Brown (of Anthony Brown & group therAPy) and Justin Savage.
"We've got people flying in from all over for Ruth's recording," says Arvetra Jones Jr., the joyous manager and father of Stellar Gospel Music Award nominated recording artist Ruth L'Ontra. The 23-year old singer's first live recording will be produced by Grammy® Award nominated recording artist Anthony Brown (of Anthony Brown & group therAPy) and Justin Savage who has collaborated with the likes of Jonathan Nelson & Purpose, Richard Smallwood, Israel Houghton and Donnie McClurkin. The free-admission recording takes place Friday, March 11@7:00 PM at The River Church, 4900 Prospectus Drive, Durham, NC 27713.
"I'm so excited to be working with Anthony and Justin," says La'Ontra. "I think everyone is going to love this music." Gospel music luminaries such as LeJeune Thompson and her Grammy® Award winning producer-husband Cedric Thompson will be in attendance as will several other singing celebrities. A host of behind-the-scenes music industry movers and shakers have also confirmed that they will be present at the event that will be hosted by Radio One midday host Jerry Smith (WNNL 102.3 FM in Raleigh, NC) and Arvetra Jones Jr. who hosts on the 100,000 watt WFSS 91.9 in Fayetteville, NC.
La'Ontra has been singing since her childhood. After graduating from high school, she launched her professional singing career with her brilliant debut project "So Good" (ALJ Music/Tyscot Records, LLC) in autumn 2013. The radio single "Count It All Joy" peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart and the riveting spiritual love song "I'm In Love With This Man" was featured in the film "Iniquity."
