Indiana Feek Adjusting to Life After Her Mother Joey Feek's Death

Two year-old Indiana Feek is slowly adjusting to life with her mother. Indiana is the daughter of Christian country music couple Joey + Rory Feek. On March 4th, Joey passed away after nine months of battling terminal cervical cancer. According to a photo posted on Instagram, little Indiana is now a tiny shadow tied to her daddy.
Rory writes on his latest Instagram post. "...somebody won't leave her papa's side," the 49-year-old country singer wrote of his daughter, who was clad in a cheerful yellow shirt and pigtails. Now, Rory and Indy are back in their home in Tennessee speding time with their loyal companion, Ranger.
Joey, who was one half of the country duo Joey+Rory, was buried on the Feek's family farm on March 10, days after passing away while surrounded by loved ones and family. Rory described his wife's final breaths on his blog, This Life I Live. "As we were gathered around her, holding hands and praying.. my precious bride breathed her last," he wrote. "And a moment later took her first breath on the other side... When a person has been through as much pain and struggle as Joey's been through, you just want it to be over. You want them to not have to hurt anymore, more than you want them to stay with you."
Joey was known for her beautiful voice, beautiful smile and beautiful marriage partnership with Rory Feek. Together they shared a life built around a love of faith, family, farming and country music. Their stories, which ranged from growing vegetables to their blossoming as a country music duo, have impacted countless people through television, radio and performances. While grateful for numerous accolades and countless career dreams that came true, Joey found the real meaning and joys of life to be one of love for her GOD, love for her home and family, love for planting and growing and love for sharing with everyone she knew. Her roles as wife and mother are often heralded beyond her celebrity successes.
