JOEY+RORY Back on Top of the BILLBOARD Country Music Sales Chart

GRAMMY®-nominated, husband-and-wife country music duo Joey+Rory garnered the No. 1 position on the Country Music chart again this week with their all-new recording, Hymns That Are Important to Us (Gaither Music Group), marking the recording's third weekly reign in the top position, according to Nielsen Soundscan.Since its release on February 12th, the 13-song recording, produced by Rory and Joe West (except "When I'm Gone," which was produced by Gary Paczosa), has also topped theContemporary Christian Album chart for the past five weeks.
In addition, for the fifth week in a row, the Hymns That Are Important to Us video landed in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Music Video chart and also on the Christian Music Video chart. The audio recording has remained in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 chart for the past five weeks, landing at No. 4 this week. As of street week the new release became the first recording in nearly a decade to top both the Top Christian Albums and Top Country Albums charts.
Longtime friends, supporters and fans have poured love into the lives of this couple and their family, especially during the recent months of Joey's battle with cancer. The new recording has struck a chord with loyal fans who have followed the couple's career and marriage since their debut onCMT's "Can You Duet" followed by their launch of "The Joey+Rory Show," one of the highest-rated shows on RFD-TV, which ran for four seasons. For the past couple of years, Rory has poetically chronicled the couple's journey through highs and lows--from the birth of their new daughter, Indiana, to Joey's health challenges.

The DVD is being featured on Gaither TV, available on DISH TV--Channel 276, Roku, Google TV and the Internet.
