Chicago Mass Choir Releases 16th Project "We Give You Praise"
This week, New Haven Records celebrates the release of the world-renowned Chicago Mass Choir's 16th album project, We Give You Praise. The internationally acclaimed group, which has released five CDs and accompanying DVDs on the New Haven label since 2001, is known for such stellar hits as "Holy Ghost Power," "I Pray We'll Be Ready," "Mighty Good God," and "God is My Everything." Their dynamic, unapologetically traditional gospel sound has garnered numerous Dove, Grammy, and Stellar Award nominations as well as Chicago Music Awards.
Helmed by award-winning producers Percy Gray, Jr. and Jeral Gray, Sr. We Give You Praise has yielded Chicago Mass Choir's hottest radio single in years. "Thank You Thank You Jesus," featuring legendary soloist Lemmie Battles, is already #16 on Gospel Radio with no signs of slowing down. Additionally, the single has been added to the Apple Music's prestigious Gospel Radio Channel. The high-energy lyric video for "Thank You Thank You Jesus", has already generated more than 120,000 YouTube views of the lyric video and an additional 200,000 views of the audio versions.
In addition to tremendous national exposure, the group recently had several high-profile, home-town opportunities including performing on Chicago's Windy City Live, singing the national anthem for a Chicago Bulls game, and singing at Chicago's Black Women's Expo.
The excitement and national exposure will continue on April 15th, when Chicago Mass Choir performs their radio single, "Thank You, Thank You Jesus" on the live daytime talk show, "You and Me-This Morning" on the WCIU-TV Network in Chicago, IL. Chicago Mass Choir will be interviewed and perform live at 8:50am CST.
Feranda Williamson, Chicago Mass Choir's president, concludes, "We just celebrated our 25th year in music ministry. Based on the response to We Give You Praise, we're more excited than ever about what the Lord has in store for the next quarter century!"
