Rory Feek’s Daughters Honor Joey’s Memory With Beautiful Picnic

it has been two years since Joey Feek lost her battle to cancer. in memory of Joey, Heidi, her sister Hopie and Joey and Rory's young daughter, Indiana, gathered for a picnic near Joey's gravesite at their Tennessee home on Sunday, the two-year anniversary of her passing. It was a beautiful, blue sky day, and they paid tribute to Joey in the most heartfelt way.
"It's been 2 years now since Joey passed away. I see her in every flower that blooms and every smile on Indy's face," Heidi writes alongside a photo of her and Hopie smiling, as Indiana flashes an adorable, beaming grin at the camera. "Today we had a picnic, in the cemetery, next to Jo's grave. I think she would've loved it. I miss her so much."
Prior to Joey's death, the couple released their final christian album Hymns That Are Important to Us. Recorded in 2015 during singer Joey Feek's battle with terminal cervical cancer, this comforting collection of favorite hymns is a bittersweet testament to the couple's resilience and faith in the face of tragedy. Also included is a poignant reprise of their track "When I'm Gone," which first appeared on their 2012 LP His and Hers.
Hymns was released in February 2016 by the Gaither Music Group, and topped both the Billboard Country and Christian charts, becoming the best-selling album of Joey + Rory's career.
