G.I. Celebrates 20 Years in Music with Rising Top 15 Single, "I'm Ready"

2018 ASACP Rhythm & Soul Award recipients and Stellar/Dove Award-nominated urban group, G.I. (God's Image), continues to climb the Billboard and Mediabase Gospel Airplay charts as they celebrate 20 Years of Music and Ministry. "I'm Ready" has cracked Top 15 on Mediabase Gospel Airplay and spends its 4th week in the Top 20 on Billboard Gospel Airplay peaking this week at #18. The single is available now for download and streaming on all digital platforms (http://hyperurl.co/478lqj).
Released on their own imprint BGA Records, which they all co-own, operate and hold executive positions within the company), Branden Anderson, Lamonte Harris, and Rufus Johnson of G.I. has become one of the leading urban male gospel groups today.
"I'm Ready" is the group's 3rd radio single to reach Top 20 from their 13-track Billboard Top 10 album release, Winning. Released September 2017, the album features a guest appearance from Platinum-selling R&B recording artist and labelmate KeKe Wyatt. The album's lead radio single "Pray and Don't Worry" spent 20 weeks in the Top 10 peaking at #9 and generated over 1 million YouTube views of their music video. Follow-up single "We Win" landed in the Top 25 on the tally. To date, the group and earned 5 career Billboard Top 30 radio singles.

Hailing from Richmond, VA, three brothers, and high school friends formed the group G.I. in 1998 with the purpose to inspire and bless lives all over the world. 20 years later the contemporary gospel group has released 5 albums, four of which, cracking Top 20 on Billboard Top Gospel Albums Sales chart.
