Laura Toggs, Daughter of Founder Brian Houston, Leaves Hillsong Church

Laura Toggs, daughter of Hillsong Church's founding pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston, has left Hillsong Church together with her husband Peter. Laura was the pioneer of Hillsong Young & Free. Together with her husband Peter, they pastored the youth ministry of Hillsong Church.
Hillsong Church announces, "A very special morning at church. We prayed over @lauratoggs and @petertoggs as they enter into an exciting new season for them and their family. We love you and are cheering you on."
Various church members have also expressed their well-wishes and thanks to the couple:
Thank you for every gift, service and all your love @petertoggs and @lauratoggs
Thank you Hillsong church for honouring Laura and Peter and family. Special moment in service.
Oh @petertoggs and @lauratoggs you will be dearly missed. We love you and your family and so thankful for all you've invested into our church and youth.
Thank you for everything over all those years and may God bless you Peter and Laura and family.
Laura Toggs left the church a litle after a year after her father resigned. In March 2022, Brian Houston resigned his position as senior global pastor after an internal investigation into his conduct with two women connected to the church. It was reported that in 2013 and 2019 he had engaged in inappropriate behaviour with both women. No word yet has been given about the Toggs future plans.
