Did You Know Fernando Ortega is a Photographer and a Storyteller?

Many of us know Fernando Ortega as a singer-songwriter in contemporary Christian music. He is noted both for his interpretations of many traditional hymns and songs, such as "Give Me Jesus", "Be Thou My Vision" and "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty", and for writing clear and easily understood songs such as "This Good Day." However, did you know that Ortega is a first-class photographer and a brilliant storyteller?
On June 1st, Oretga has a picture and a story book entitled Fernando's Birds coming out on June 1st. You can pre-order Fernando's Birds here.
Fernando Ortega is a born storyteller and gifted photographer. According to the press release, "(in the book) Ortega takes the reader from the bosques, canyons and mountains of his native New Mexico to the Florida swamps to assemble something akin to a family album of birds. From the common House Finch to the beautiful Lazuli Bunting, each photograph reveals distinguished characters with a back story in a way you may not have imagined birds before.
Coupled with his witty, sometimes poignant observations and tales, the over 70 photographs included here will keep you amused and engaged. Best known for his work as a songwriter, singer, composer, and arranger of Christian music, Fernando Ortega here shows his reverence for and delight in the wondrous creatures who share our world."
