Avalon Puts Their Signature Harmonies on an Album Full of Worship Tunes

Iconic three-time Grammy-nominated, American Music Award and Dove Award-winning group Avalon returns with their first album in three years. Avalon Worship finds the team putting their signature harmonies on current worship favorites including Elevation Worship's "Graves into Gardens" and "Rattle," Cody Carnes' "Christ Be Magnified," Kari Jobe's "The Blessing," and many others.
The band announces, "We are so excited to share that today we announce the release of our brand-new project and self-titled album, Avalon Worship! #AvalonWorship the album is available NOW wherever you listen to music.
"For the past eleven years Greg and Janna have been staff worship leaders at a local church north of Houston, Jody is on staff as a worship leader at a church in Ohio, and Dani became a worship leader right out of high school. Naturally, this progression in our personal lives made sense to extend that part of who Avalon is now when we were creating music. We hope these songs can bring healing and connection to all that listen and worship with us."
The band, originally formed in 1995, lost and added members through the years. Of its founding three, Janna Long, Michael Passons and Jody McBrayer, only Janna Long remained when Avalon stopped recording in 2009.
At the time, Janna and husband Greg Long, who joined Avalon in 2003, were new parents. The couple moved to Texas and accepted positions as worship team leaders at Woodland Church. They stepped away from world tours to raise babies and plant roots.
Now, the babies are all in school and Avalon is making a comeback.
In July 2019, Avalon released its first single from the abum Called, which features the Longs, new member Dani Rocca and returning member Jody McBrayer. Now they are continuing their comeback with this new worship record.
