John MacArthur Doing Well After Health Scare

Dr. John MacArthur, popular Bible teacher, writer and senior pastor of Grace Community Church of Sun Valley, California, fell ill on Sunday, preventing him from preaching the second service Sunday.
An elder reveals that the beloved pastor "had a bug this week and preached our first hour but asked if he might be able to take a break for the second hour."
Grace Community Church posted a brief update on Monday about the health of the of the 83-year-old pastor. "Many of you are praying for Pastor John's health due to his absence from the pulpit during the second service. We are pleased to report that he is doing well.
"He saw a doctor on Sunday afternoon and he is in good health, and just needs rest from a busy holiday week. Thank you for your continued prayers for Pastor John."
MacArthur has been the pastor of Grace Community Church, a non-denominational church since February 9, 1969. During that time, MacArthur has reportedly preached over 3,000 sermons. He is currently the chancellor emeritus of The Master's University in Santa Clarita and The Master's Seminary.
