TAYA Reflects on Her GMA Dove Award Nomination

Globally renowned vocalist TAYA is thrilled that she has received her a GMA Dove Award nomination for her self-titled debut worship album TAYA. Her record is nominated in the Best Recorded Music -- Packaging of the Year category. The 54th GMA Dove Awards show will take place live and in-person at the Allen Arena at Nashville's Lipscomb University on October 17, 2023, and will be televised exclusively on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on October 20, 2023.
TAYA reflects, "My debut record holds a special place in my heart, for many reasons including learning to be obedient whilst unsure what's ahead (a continual learning it seems ha) as I found my own voice, learning to express who Jesus was to me.
"Another special reason was getting to work with my prophetic creative friend @argaet & his special team through his new creative venture aka @avenircreativehouse. As a team they were able to help me visually get out all that the Lord had put into my heart for this first project, and BOY did we have SO MUCH FUN doing it From the album cover shoot day (we still have content coming out of our ears ha) to the cliff top afternoon where we got the shot (!!!) and other rainy shots that will never see the light of day haha, to traveling back to my hometown to shoot my first music video (allll the feels), merch, website, DSP's and on & on.
"I will always be so grateful for you Jay & your entire incredible team. Family forever! So with allll that said - thank you so much to @gmadoveawards for this nomination, in recognizing the beautiful work of @avenircreativehouse & their sweet partnership in this record."
The world was first introduced to TAYA on UNITED's RIAA Certified Multi-Platinum global worship anthem "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" and "Touch The Sky," and since then, her voice has become an unmistakable clarion call to worship across the world. During her tenure with UNITED, as well as Hillsong Worship, TAYA has helped steward over 1 Billion global career streams as well as performed live for over 10M people in 12 different countries across six continents. TAYA is most passionate about worship that points people to Jesus and her hope is to lead people to worship more authentically and passionately as they discover more about Him.
