NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The organization envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares. NAMI provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.
The 2021 Inspirational Country Music Awards Comedian of the Year's passion for making people laugh stems from his troubled past that he shares openly in his shows. From being adopted at birth to battling a severe bout with depression, Mickey knows how to speak to any audience about how to bounce back in life. After a moral fall while serving as a pastor, Mickey found himself fired and homeless within 10 minutes. His story of recovery and finding life again will stir the emotions of anyone who has the opportunity to listen.
Live from the Paramount follows Mickey's debut, live album, One Pound At A Time, which reached No. 2 on the iTunes comedy charts. During the taping, Mickey became the first clean comedian to sell out the legendary StarDome comedy club in his hometown of Birmingham. Performing over 150 shows a year, Mickey produces a clean, high-tempo comedy act that is perfect for the entire family. He has toured with Jason Crabb, Chonda Pierce, Mark Lowry, David Phelps, Unspoken and more.
Mickey recently signed with Platform Artists for exclusive booking representation. Platform Artists represents the top names in Christian talent in the live events space, including Chris Tomlin, TobyMac, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Danny Gokey, Kim Walker-Smith, Colton Dixon, Mandisa, Mac Powell and many more. Mickey is currently nominated for Comedian of the Year at the Inspirational Country Music Awards, Christian Voice Awards and Red Letter Awards.
