Mark Lowry Headlines July 18 Benefit for Veranda Ministries
Singer, songwriter, author and humorist Mark Lowry brings his unique storytelling ministry to Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon on Thursday, July 18 to support Veranda Ministries, a non-profit based in Gallatin that provides services for families caring for loved ones affected by dementia.
The "Veranda Ministries Presents Mark Lowry" concert begins at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, located at 621 Hartsville Pike in Lebanon, Tennessee, 37087. Doors open at 6 p.m. Ticket prices per person are $30 Premium; $20 General Admission; and $10 Youth (age 6-12), plus service fees. Tickets are available only online at iTickets.com (https://www.itickets.com/events/478011).
Lowry is best known for penning the lyric to the Christmas classic "Mary Did You Know?" and singing baritone for the GRAMMY© Award-winning Gaither Vocal Band for many years. He still serves as the sidesplitting comedic sidekick for Bill Gaither on several Gaither Homecoming concert tours.
Lowry, who's entertained audiences since he was 11 years old, has a unique gift of
communicating profound Biblical truths through music and storytelling. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2015. His life's work features a large catalog of diverse projects including videos, CDs and books. One thing is certain-Lowry's communication style keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. He's one who can make audiences think, laugh and cry, all at once.
Lowry will be joined by Christian artists Lauren Talley and Peach Goldman.
Born into a rich musical heritage, Talley made her mark in the gospel music world as a member of her award-winning family group, The Talleys. She's released seven solo albums, and also serves as studio background singer, producer as well as vocal and performance coach for emerging artists. Her 2017 album, "The Gospel," reached the number one position on Billboard's southern gospel chart.
Formed in October 2023, the trio Peach Goldman consists of husband and wife, Troy and Katy Peach, and their friend Andrew Goldman. Troy is an award-winning producer and engineer who also serves as music director at Hillcrest Baptist Church. He and Goldman are former road mates and have been in the Gospel music industry for several years.
Proceeds from the concert benefit Veranda Ministries. An outreach supported by Impact Fellowship Church in Gallatin, the organization operates The Veranda, social-based, day respite program; provides "Hidden Heroes" grief support meetings and offers a dementia/end-of-life doula program. The organization hosts an annual care partner conference and holds dementia care training for families of those living with dementia. Veranda Ministries also presents the "Aging, Angst & Alleluias" podcast. Visit www.verandaministries.org to learn more about the organization.
