The Gala awards ceremony is part of a weekend experience full of inspiration, recognition and celebration and features renowned Grammy nominated artist Matthew West and Pillar Award honorees Joni Eareckson Tada, Dr. David Jeremiah and Tony Dungy.
Carlos Campo, CEO of Museum of the Bible, remarked: "The personal and public achievements and testimonies of this year's honorees demonstrate the profound influence of the Bible that undeniably changes lives, culture and history."
Museum of the Bible's Pillar Awards honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the three core pillars of the Museum of the Bible - History, Narrative and Impact.
Joni Eareckson Tada, an author, speaker and internationally renowned advocate for people with disabilities, is this year's honored recipient of the Pillar Award for History. The Pillar Award for Narrative will be granted to pastor and author Dr. David Jeremiah, whose fidelity to the word of God has reached and inspired millions via radio, television, print and digital media. Finally, the Pillar Award for Impact will be presented to Super Bowl champion coach, broadcaster, author and speaker Tony Dungy, who has used his platform to share his faith and honor biblical values in the public arena.
The Gala dinner will be capped with performances by five-time Grammy nominee Matthew West, one of Christian music's top female artists, Tasha Layton and multiple Dove Award winner Nicol Sponberg. Barry C. Black, the 62nd Chaplain of the United States Senate, will also share remarks.
As part of the Gala weekend, guests will enjoy the unique opportunity to explore the remarkable exhibits at the museum after hours, immersing themselves in the rich history of the Bible.
