'Nashville' Season 3 ABC Release Date September 2014 Premiering with Live Performances from Cast Stars Charles Esten & Chris Carmack (VIDEO)
"Nashville" Season 3 returns to ABC next month and they are looking to do something special and risky for their fans to make it memorable.
TV Line has confirmed that for the "Nashville" Season 3 premiere (Sept 24) cast stars Charles Esten (Deacon) and Chris Carmack (Will) will both perform live from the show's Bluebird Café set. Carmack will sing "If It's Love" by the Striking Matches, while Esten will perform "I Know How To Love You Now," which he wrote with Deana Carter. Both songs will be performed as a part of the premiere episode. Besides the two performances, the rest of the premiere will already have been filmed.
This will be the first scripted drama ever to attempt live music during the show.
"We want people to know what it's really like," creator Callie Khouri says of their groundbreaking idea (quote via Nashville Edge). "The live music here is such a huge presence in our show that we thought maybe we could find a way to share with the world what that feels like for real."
The ABC Fall scheduled has been release and "Nashville" Season 3 will premiere on September 24th on it's usual Wednesday night at 10/9c.
The second season of "Nashville" ended on a strong note after fluttering alittle earlier in the season with fans and critics. So with the show on a good writing curve, what can fans expect for Season 3?
Cast star Hayden Panettiere, who plays pop/country star Juliette Barnes, is pregnant in real life and fans are wondering if they will write it into the script or try to hide it in Season 3. She spoke with TVLine about different scenerios for Season 3. She would love to see Juliette and Deacon (Chip Esten) together again. "We were together so much the first year, and when you get to know somebody that well as an actor, it allows you to really delve into things in a way that is very free and real and raw," Panettiere said.
Juliette was at another all-time low and drowning herself in alcohol instead of facing her problems again like in Season 1. Deacon, who is in recovery from his own alcoholism, could be the person to help her get her life back on track. Deacon could also help Juliette deal with the fallout from her breakup with Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and her one-night stand with Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson).
Panettiere doesn't think the aftereffects of Juliette's one night stand with Jeff are over. "That was a pretty big mistake for Juliette to make with a pretty dangerously disliked character," Panettiere told TVLine. "I would be surprised if [the writers] just let that go or resolved it very quickly."
Deacon and Maddie have really started to bond as father and daughter, but is this a happy ending or will things fall off track? This might have some to do with whether or not Rayna chooses Luke Wheeler (Will Chase) or Deacon in the end. I think most people expect Rayna and Deacon to end up together in the end, but the writers might have different ideas.
Tune into "Nashville" Season 3 premiere on ABC on September 24th, Wednesday night at 10/9c to catch all of the new drama.
