Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell's Son Worships Jesus with Original Song on "American Idol"

Baylee Littrell, the 22-year-old son of Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell, recently delivered a heartfelt performance on "American Idol" during Hollywood Week. He performed his original song, "Hey Jesus," which he wrote following the passing of his grandmother three years ago.
Baylee described his grandmother as his "best friend" and shared that her loss led him to question his faith. Writing "Hey Jesus" played a significant role in helping him reconnect with his beliefs.
The song's poignant lyrics include:
"Hey Jesus, I broke my wings again / Could you help me up one last time, old friend? / Oh, 'cause I surrender everything to you."
Baylee's performance resonated deeply with the audience and judges alike. Judge Carrie Underwood praised him, saying, "Your heart and genuineness just coming through. You're so good."
His parents, Brian and Leighanne Littrell, were visibly moved during the performance, with Brian seen singing along and shedding tears of pride.
While Baylee's participation in "American Idol" has sparked discussions about nepotism, with some questioning the fairness of his inclusion given his father's fame, his genuine talent and heartfelt performances have garnered significant attention and praise.
