Flyleaf and P.O.D. To Co-headline On U.S. Tour This Summer
Flyleaf has just announced that they will be co-headlining a tour with P.O.D. (Payable On Death) this summer beginning in Kenosha Wisconsin on July 13, and running through until August 10 in San Diego, California.
The band tweeted on May 28 saying, "We're psyched to announce we're going coast to coast with @POD! Tickets go on sale Friday. RT to all of your friends!"
"Flyleaf is very excited to hit the road this Summer with P.O.D.!" said bassist, Pat Seals, according tobandweblogs.com. "Opening for them in 2005 on the Fall Brawl Tour was a very special experience for me, being a fan of the band since the release of, 'The Fundamental Elements of Southtown.' P.O.D. live is always explosive and heartfelt - it will be a privilege to share the stage once again."
This tour will promote Flyleaf's latest album, 'New Horizons,' which continues to gain increased popularity. This will be the first tour for the band's new lead singer, Kristen May, according to bandweblogs. Meanwhile, P.O.D. will be promoting their new album, 'Murdered Love.'
Flyleaf is a platinum-selling hard rock Christian band that was founded in 2005. The band consists of Kristen May on vocals, Sameer Bhattacharya on guitar, Jared Hartmann on guitar, Pat Seals on bass, and James Culpepper on drums. The band's new album, 'New Horizons,' is their third full-length album for the A & M/ Octone record label.
"When listening to New Horizons, I would hope that fans would be able to lose themselves in the story of each of these songs and form their own connections to them-as we have in the band. There is a great deal of our souls laid bare on this record, and I feel like it really comes through on the tracks," said Seals, according to the band's Facebook page.
Earlier this month, Flyleaf offered fans an opportunity to ask the band questions and receive answers by means of a Facebook Q & A. About 175 fans asked the band questions and most of them were answered by the band members themselves. As part of the Q& A, Jared, guitarist for the band, explained the band's inspiration for music-making. "Life inspires us to make music," he said, on May 16.
Tickets for the Flyleaf and P.O.D. tour go on sale starting Friday.
