Arrested Development Season 5 Release Date, Spoilers and Rumors: Netflix is Still Keeping Mum on the Release Date
I maintain that Fox were not thinking straight when they dropped Arrested Development from their catalogue. The show which received six Emmy awards and a golden Globe award was apparently unable to translate these awards into viewership and ratings and after three seasons Fox counted their losses and called it a day in 2006. So fans had to contend with watching reruns and speculating, wondering how the family is doing. Then in 2011 Netflix felt our pain and announced that they would pick the series up. In 2013 in true Netflix fashion, fifteen episodes were released. The season was not as good as previous seasons and for a little while fans held their breath to see if Netflix would go the way of Fox. And then earlier this year Will Arnett confirmed that there will be a fifth season although Netflix is still keeping mum on the release date.
The Bluth family that takes dysfunctional to a whole new level was however lacking in the one of a kind dynamic in the fourth season. We can only hope that Netflix will be able to bring the family together for the fifth season so we can get that unique flavor back. Season four had episodes focusing on different members of the family over the same period of time. This left the fans with a weird taste in their collective mouths because although the Bluths are back the Bluth family isn't.
Will Arnett will must come back, in fact they all have to come back because somehow they don't work so well apart but together they are simply magic. Since Netflix is keeping mum about the fifth season we still don't know who could be leaving and who will be staying but we are sure Mitchell Hurwitz will be staying with his baby to the end. We still do not have news about the movie either and it feels like everyone is holding their card close to their chests but as soon as we get any news about the Bluth family you will definitely be the first to know.
