Star Wars Episode VII release date: Film will be going old school and to be shot in the original 35mm film as the first trilogy and fans may anticipate a Palpatine
Part of the Star Wars Episode VII latest news circulating around the internet is the fact that the film will be going retro. Yes, as the first trilogy was shot in 35mm film, it would seem that Star Wars Episode VII will be shot in the same way and will not be using CGI effects but rather practical effects used by the first three films in the 1970's as shared by the film's director of photography, Daniel Mindel.
Looks like they're not just going back to the roots, they seem to be making all stops in the making of Star Wars Episode VII.
If you are expecting Emperor Palpatine to make a comeback for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII movie, well you're in luck as he will be. What's another good thing with this Star Wars Episode VII latest news? Though it appeared that the villain was killed in Return of the Jedi, several sources hint that he may have survived from his fall on the Death Star. In addition to that shocking Star Wars Episode VII spoiler, it would seem that Max von Sydow may be taking the role of Palpatine. Unfortunately those who were hoping that the original Palpatine, Ian McDiarmind, may reprise the role may be disappointed that he will not be returning for Star Wars Episode VII.
And surprise, surprise! Looks like Mark Hamill may be reprising his role as Luke Skywalker for Star Wars Episode VII. What's interesting is that he's spotted sporting facial hair much like his deceased mentor Obi-wan-Kenobi. There has been word going around that for Star Wars Episode VII, he'll be sporting a metal hand as well.
Oh and if you were under a rock this whole time it would also seem that Harrison Ford will also be reprising his role as fan-favorite Hans Solo for Star Wars Episode VII.
Star Wars Episode VII will be crashing your theaters by December 18, 2015.
