Games of Thrones Rumors and News: Characters of he Hound, Joffrey, Tywin Lannister, Ygritte and Shae Were Killed Off The Screen. Now, Who Else is Going to Get Killed?
Those who watched the Game of Thrones in HBO witnessed the death of several well loved characters. The television series is based on the Game of Throne book series of George R.R. Martin. The actors were well aware of the coming demise of their characters because the television show's story closely follows the story in the book. That is why the Game of Throne characters such as The Hound, Joffrey, Tywin Lannister, Ygritte and Shae have to be killed off the screen.
In the case of the actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster who played the role of Jojen Reed, the death of his character took him by surprise. His character was killed in the last episode of Season 4. But based in the "A Song of Fire and Ice" novel, Jojen Reed should still be alive.
Buzzfeed posted Sangster's thoughts when he read the script where he will be killed. When the script reached the part where he is going stab several times in the stomach he was not worried. When it said that his throat is going to be cut, he still wasn't worried. But when he came to the last part of the script, he finally realized his character's life has ended. He said, "little girl comes out, throws a Molotov cocktail, and I burst into flames. That's when I knew I was definitely dead...Properly Dead."
Although the death of his character was rather abrupt, he claims that he harbors no grudges against the producers of the show. Even if they did not him invite him to the traditional dinner where actors will be informed that their characters are going to die.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster plays the role of Newt in upcoming movie Maze Runner. The movie is scheduled to be release around the third week of September this year.
