Jack Reacher 2 Release Date and Other Latest News; Tom Cruise Set to Reprise His Role Plus a Female Teen Sidekick
Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise is set to reprise his role in the upcoming film adaptation of Lee Child's popular novel Never Go Back. The much-awaited Jack Reacher 2 movie will be the sequel to the surprise hit movie that came out in 2012 which is now scheduled for a 2016 release.
Apparently, the second part of the hit Jack Reacher might have to wait a little longer for its premiere due to the Hollywood superstar's prior commitments-he has began filming the fifth sequel to his other hit movie series, Mission Impossible. This is despite the fact of the official announcements and confirmations made by Skydance Productions and Paramount Pictures themselves.
Jack Reacher 2 plot will center on the protagonist as he faces accusations of homicide as well as the reality of fathering a kid with a woman he does not even seem to remember.
While the book also features a female teen, the creators of the movie could take much advantage of that and put her on a bigger role, making her Tom Cruise character's sidekick.
Stay tuned for more updates on the filming and release of Jack Reacher 2!
