Kingsman: The Secret Service Release Date, Reveals, News, Spoilers and Plot: Mathew Vaughn to Produce and Direct Upcoming Marvel Installment
Ever wonder where the gentleman who directed Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels went? Well he went on to produce Kick Ass and X-Men: First Class. And on February 13th 2015 he can add Kingsman: The Secret Service to his list of successes. Award winning Director, producer and writer Mathew Vaughn has been working on Marvel Films movie in the capacity of writer, director and producer. The movie which is based on a comic book The Secret Service created by Dave Gibbons who worked on the 'The Watchmen' comic book and Mark Millar who has also done a lot of work for Marvel.
The movie is about a veteran secret agent who trains his young protégé and teaches him the ways of the world of espionage. The movie which is being released on the same day as Fifty Shades of Grey is set to attract a more testosterone and adrenaline centered audience. This is why 20TH Century Fox is not afraid that Dorian Grey will not take their shine away. Being that the movie is already a comic book, it already has quite the cult following already. Shooting began on October 6th 2013 in Surrey and the release moved from November 2014 to February 2015. Judging from the plot it isn't your everyday Valentines's day movie but 20Th Century Fox seems both determined and convinced that the movie shall be one for the history books.
Adam Bohling and David Reid shall be joining Mather Vaughn in the Producer's chairs for this flick. These two may be unknown to us but Mr. Vaughn trusts them enough so we have to as well, right? The cast is severely exciting and is reason alone to go watch the movie. Colin Firth shall be joined by Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine on the set. Makes you wonder what Samuel L. Jackson is doing in the midst of all this polished English gentry considering his potty mouth but, you know, naughty words aside Mr. Jackson is an above average actor. Being that this is an English-American project it would be fundamentally wrong if Adele , Elton John, Lady Gaga and David Beckham did not appear in there somewhere. 20TH Century has a good thing here and we will see how good it is in February.
