Arrow Season 3 Premieres this October; Plus New Season Gets Complicated and Dark
Arrow is renewed for a third season, set to premiere on October 8, 2014 with its first episode "The Calm".
Arrow season 3 will follow the aftermath of the Arrow's victory, and will begin the first scene with the Arrow as Starling citizens' hero.
As for the plot of the new season, people are feeling safer now that crimes are fewer, and Captain Lance is calling off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Oliver now believes he can finally have a private life, but he's wrong. On a supposed lovely date night with Felicity, Starling is threatened again by a deadly villain. Oliver realizes that he can never have a private life. He always has to be the Arrow for as long as Starling needs him.
As for the characters, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) will return on the new season, and John Diggle (David Ramsey) is about to become a father.
At Comic-Con International 2014, John Barrowman shared a few details about the return of his character, Malcolm, in season 3. John says that Malcolm had lost many people in his life because he wasn't willing to deal with his emotions, but that's going to change now because Malcolm doesn't want to lose his daughter Thea. He also said, "It's probably going to be the most dysfunctional, spectacular, awesome father/daughter relationship on television".
Arrow's executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, also commented on the new season, "things are really good (in season 3), but things get complicated and they get dark, but they're dark in a different way...I think the season premiere is about many things, but one of the things it's about (is that) Oliver really regains his focus".
Let's see what this is all about. The season 3 of Arrow premieres on October 8, 2014 with its first episode "The Calm".
