'Stalker' Spoilers and Released Date: A Glimpse on Latest CBS 'Scary Psychological' Drama
Nikita's back! Maggie Q returns to television in CBS suspense thriller 'Stalker'. Stalker trailer gave us the first look of what can we expect from this psychological thriller.
Maggie Q plays the role of Lt. Beth Davis. Davis heads a special unit, Threat Assessment Unit or TAU, that investigates stalking incidents. She is focus and determined. This kind of attitude probably came from the fact that she was a victim of stalking. In the trailer, Davis' character is strong-willed and she will pretty much do everything in her power to help the victims. Her partner, Detective Jack Larsen is being played by Dylan McDermott. The duo is an interesting pair - Lt. Beth Davis is a serious lady with a mission, while Detective Larsen exudes a much "lighter" personality. The crime busting pair investigates incidents such as voyeurism, cyber harassment and romantic fixation.
Other cast member includes Victor Rasuk as Detective Ben Caldwell and Mariana Klaveno as Detective Janice Lawrence. Both of them are an integral part of Davis' team. Caldwell is a "young but eager detective" while Lawrence is described as "deceptively smart."
In the trailer, we can see Davis talking to one of the victim explaining that she knows how it feels. The scene was followed by another scene of Davis being inside her house - double locks and top of the line security system. Her face shows worry and fear, but there's this sense of courage that she can get over it. I guess with stalking victim, the feeling that someone is always out there watching never goes away even after the perpetrator was caught.
Stalker will show how Lt. Davis and Det. Larsen study the minds of the most dangerous stalker out there. They need to be one step ahead of them if they want to catch them. Methods of how stalkers can invade someone's home and privacy were also shown in the trailer.
The trailer for the Stalker is scary. It is hard to imagine a stalker getting close to you. The series puts to light the danger of being a victim of stalking. The trailer shows someone being burned by her stalker. The show also emphasizes that males can be victims too.
According to Nina Tassler, CBS Entertainment president, Stalker is "the scariest drama to ever air" on the network - and frankly, I do believe her. Watching the trailer gave me goosebumps.
Kevin Williamson is the executive producer of Stalker. The show will premiere on October 1, 2014.
