Far Cry 4 Spoilers, News, Reveals, Release and Gameplay: Game to be Officially Released in North America and Europe on November 18th 2014
Far cry 4 is an action adventure first person shooter video game. The game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Far cry 4 is meant to be a sequel to the 2012 Far cry 3 and the fourth instalment in the Far cry series. The video game is scheduled to be officially released worldwide starting in North America and Europe on November 18th 2014 followed by Australia on November 20th of the same year.
Looking back at the past instalments, one can clearly see how brilliantly it attempts to recreate various occurrences of certain countries at some point in time. Some of their games however adopted their retrospective story, characters and visual styles from known action movies. Commando and The Predator are some movies that the games were adopted from with the attempt of develop characters as Sylvester Stallone for their games. Take for example their latest game, far cry 3, that is set on a fictional 2007, where the world is is suffering an aftermath of a nuclear war between Russia and United States. The game did so well the Ubisoft CEO stated the game may get a retail release in the same year.
Far cry 4 follows the storyline of an English speaking Nepalese, Ajay Ghale. He returns to a wild untamed region of his home county, Kyrat, to scatter the ashes of his mother. There he finds himself in the middle of a civil war with civilians struggling under the self appointed king Pagan Min. The narrative director Mark Thompson expressed that he wanted the game to correct shortcomings he felt the previous game, Far cry 3, had. In addition, the writers chose to minimise the amount of voice overs from the player character to allow the players to better immerse themselves in the role. They also added Tarantino-like humour in order to address the contrast between the game's heavy violence and any enjoyment the player will get from playing the game.
