Fifty Shades of Grey News: Charlie Hunnam Pulls Out of Christian Grey Role
Ever since the announcement that "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be turned into a major motion picture, anticipation has erupted among the millions of fans of the book. People from all walks of life and, amazingly, from different age brackets cannot wait for the movie. The film is expected to be a huge hit, which may be why some cast members feel pressured.
Originally Charlie Hunnam, known for his role as Nathan Maloney in the TV drama "Queer as Folk," was casted to play the character of Christian Grey. He bowed out of the movie however. To some, this was a bad move. They believe Hunnam is passing off an opportunity to boost his career.
Painful as it is, Hunnam sees leaving the movie as a better move than staying in the production boat. He understood that "Fifty Shades of Grey" promises to be a big hit but still he backed out, thinking that staying would be too much for him as he is busy with all the other productions he is involved in. He further said he does not want to fail in such a grand stage. So for Hunnam, to back out is the best move.
In response, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie production moves on with a new actor for the lead role. Jamie Dornan now plays Christian Grey. Dornan has appeared in a number of TV series including "Once Upon a Time" and "The Fall."
Regardless of cast changes, anticipation still runs high for the movie, which is set for release on February 13 next year.
