'Insidious 3': To be Released with A New Paranormal Plot
The plot of Insidious 3 is still confidential but writer Leigh Whannel said it will no longer be about the Lambert Family.
As reported by Enstarz, Lambert said, "[Producer] Jason Blum will probably kill me if I say anything. But I can say that it's not based around the Lambert family anymore, it's not Rose Byrne's character -- which I actually really liked, going back and just wiping the slate clean and starting over again. It felt like writing the first film, 'cause you weren't bound to any particular character. ... It felt really good."
Director James Wan, however, promised that Insidious 3 will be much better than the previous Insidious installments based on his Twitter comments. Wan said, the third installment of his Insidious movie franchise film will be "a lot more like part one than two," Enstarz reports. Currently he is busy directing Fast and Furious 7. Insidious: Chapter 2 was released in theaters on September 13, 2013 and was a certified hit with a net profit of $41.1 million on its first week of exhibition.
Insidious: Chapter 2 depicted the life of the Lambert family's son who became the tool of demons. The parents of the boy tried to solve the mysteryof this unexpected event. Gradually, through the influence of demons, the couple reached the paranormal world and were unable to exit from there. Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey starred in the film.
Insidious 3 is set to be released on May 29, 2015, by Focus Features.
