The Sims 4 release date was September 2, 2014, for Microsoft Windows. The life simulation video game is available in English, German, French, Russian, Polish, Swedish, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, and Korean. The Sims 4 trailer for the official gameplay can now be accessed on Youtube. To activate the game for the first time, an internet connection is required. Also, an "Origin" account has to be opened to install and register the game. After that, a persistent online connection is no longer required to play The Sims 4.
At the minimum, The Sims 4 system requirements include a Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 OS; a 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent processor with memory of at least 2 GB RAM; 9 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games; a video card with 128 MB of Video RAM and support for Pixel Shader 3.0; DirectX 9.0c Compatible soundcard; keyboard and mouse; and, a DVD ROM drive for the installation of The Sim 4 game.
Previous The Sims 4 rumors that it will also be available for Mac and on game consoles have not been confirmed. Moreover, contrary to earlier speculations, the content from The Sims 3 will not be transferable to The Sims 4 and SimPoints will not be supported by The Sims 4, but will continue to be a form of payment for The Sims 3 content in The Sims 3 Store. New The Sims 4 rumors have it that certain core features and content like those in The Sims 3 game will eventually be released as free patch updates or through paid expansion packs and downloadable content in the future.
For $69.90, The Sims 4 can be downloaded to PCs from the Origin online store. For those willing to take the risk, there is also a The Sims 4 free download, cracked, at thesims4crack.com and other warez sites.
