After Seven Years On The Drawing Board, Blizzard Pulls The Plug On The Titan Video Game
It really makes you wonder why they even worked so hard for that long if they are just going to axe all the development and progress they have been making. After developing Titan for seven years, the famous Blizzard finally cancels all development on Titan and axed the whole video game altogether.
CEO and co-founder, Mike Morhaime, was interviewed recently by Polygon. He was asked to talk about the title of the Next Gen MMO and he answered that he found it awkward to talk about the game. This made the news of cancellation not very surprising.
It was reported that the decision of cancelling the game was a decision made by everyone. Apparently, the team did not find the fun. Morhaime even said, "We didn't find the passion." Before finally deciding to axe the game, the team went on a re-evaluation of the game. They asked each other if it was a game that they really wanted to make and the answer to it was obviously a no.
One of the company's senior vice president, Chris Metzen, even spoke out that they were losing perspective on the game. He even called the experience excruciating.
Fans have awaited the supposedly next generation massive multiplayer online video game patiently for the last few years and it is sad to see that the game won't be coming out at all. But the company has been the mastermind of many games and if they think that the video game is not good enough, then it may just be for the better.
What do you guys think of the news?
