The Real Reason Why Brad Pitt is Not Present on Clooney's Big Day

As the guests arrived to attend George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding, some personalities close to Clooney are missing. It turns out that the power couple - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were invited, but the couple was unable to attend because of professional obligation. Brad and Angie are busy shooting a new film - "By the Sea." The couple and the rest of the family are in Malta. Angelina Jolie wrote the script and is both directing and starring in the film.

Another guest that's missing is Ben Affleck, his co-producer in Argo. Affleck said, "Some people have to work and everybody else gets to be in Venice. But [George] found a great girl and I'm happy for them. I wish them the best."

Pitt did have some great things to say about Clooney. Brad said in the new issue of British GQ, "Well, you know, George is extremely accessible. He's one of our best representatives. He's funny as sh-t. He's a joy to be around." Maybe there's another celebration coming.

George Clooney is rumored to have paid $1,500 a night per room for the guests of the wedding. The Clooney and Alamuddin's wedding is a star studded affair. The two made it official by having a civil wedding down the city hall last Monday. The ceremony lasted for 10 minutes.

Everybody is excited about the wedding. Clooney is known to have made a vow that he will never marry again after his divorce with Talia Balsam. He dates, but marriage was never on the table; however, it's different with Amal Alamuddin.

Amal Alamuddin is a 36-year-old human rights lawyer. She was born in Beirut, studied at Oxford and is living in London. Her clients are high profile - Julian Assange of WikiLeaks and Yulia Tymoshenko, former prime minister of Ukraine. She's fluent in Arabic, English and French. It's no wonder why Clooney changes his mind about getting married because she's a woman of substance and can definitely survive on her own.
