Arrow Season 3: A New Vertigo Will Emerge in Premiere Episode, But Batman's Nemesis Ra's al Ghul Could Be A Major Adversary For the Season
Arrow Season 3 Episode 1 release date is on October 8, 2014, at its regular Wednesday 8:00 PM time slot on the CW network. Entitled "The Calm," the season's first episode "opens with the Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling." According to the network's official synopsis, Lance who will have become a police captain, finally calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Lulled into thinking that things are back to normal, Oliver even asks Felicity for a date. But just as he was getting used to the relative calm, another threat emerges in the city, making him realize that "he can never be Oliver Queen - as long as the city needs the Arrow."
There will be six new characters who will be introduced in Arrow Season 3: "Ray Palmer" who will become the new CEO of Queen Consolidated and possibly Felicity's new love interest; "Seth" who is a chemical genius who develops a drug which can drain people's willpower; "Maseo Yamashiro," a character from Oliver's past who was his friend and teacher in Hong Kong; "Tatsu Yamashiro aka Katana," another character from the past who was Maseo's wife and Oliver's handler; "Werner Zytle aka Vertigo" who will become the new dealer of the drug vertigo; "Ted Grant aka Wildcat," a gym owner for underprivileged kids and a former boxer who will cross path with Lance; and "Mark Shaw aka Manhunter," an A.R.G.U.S. operative who will cross path with Diggle.
Of the Arrow Season 3 spoilers, none probably beats executive producer Marc Guggenheim revelation during the July San Diego Comic-Con that Batman's nemesis Ra's al Ghul will also be on his way to Starling City. But as he clarified to Hollywood Reporter, "We have a really clever way of doing Ra's this year that is true to the comic-book origins but different from the way Ra's was portrayed in the Nolan movies. You don't want to compete with Batman Begins, even though we've always said Batman Begins was a big influence on us. We really wanted our Ra's to be very different - at least our own Arrow-ified version."
Any other Arrow Season 3 spoilers? Stephen Amell who plays the title role told Comic Book, "Suit upgrade is coming. There is going to be new stuff added to the suit at some point this season."
Arrow Season 3 Episode 1 will be having as guest stars Caity Lotz (as Sara Lance/Black Canary), Brandon Routh (as Ray Palmer), Karl Yune (as Maseo Yamashiro), Rila Fukushima (as Katana), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (as Amanda Waller), and Peter Stormare (as Werner Zytle/Count Vertigo).
