Hugh Jackman Latest News and Update: #FeelingNuts Latest Trend Hugh Jackman Participates To Help Raise Awareness for Testicular Cancer - How About You? Are You #FeelingNuts?
Following the footstep of the social media phenomenon, ALS Bucket Challenge, celebrities, including Hugh Jackman, are starting a new trend to help raise awareness about testicular cancer.
Testicular cancer is a deadly disease and according to Cancer.org, testicular cancer will claim the lives of at least 380 men in 2014 and around 8,820 cases diagnosed. Just like with breast cancer, early detection is the key, and that is the goal of #FeelingNuts.
So how does the challenge works? If nominated, the participant who accepted the challenge"needs to grab his manhood, take a picture and then nominate someone else to take up the dare. "
The Wolverine actor is not a stranger to the disease. He faced cancer before - skin cancer to be exact, on his nose. That's why he's been very supportive of the #FeelingNuts.
He shared a video of himself with the caption, "#feelingnuts in slomo! Raising awareness for testicular cancer. #youknowwhoyouare." Jackman also posted a picture of himself together with "guys" such as Nigel Barker and all of them are "grabbing their manhood" and raising their left hand - all in the name of raising awareness about the dangers of testicular cancer.
Jackman then nominated Ricky Gervais, Neil Patrick Harris, and Michael Strahan. Among the first to take the challenge is Ricky Gervais, who then posted a picture of himself #FeelingNuts style. Gervais wrote, "I accept the @RealHughJackman #feelingnuts challenge for testicular cancer. I nominate @WilliamShatner."
William Shatner replied, "I accept @rickygervais challenge but of course I will have to use more than one hand & reveal myself to the inquiring public #feelingnuts." He then posted his picture here.
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is also joining in the fun. He tweeted a photo of himself and wrote, "Guys I'm #feelingnuts raising awareness for testicular cancer I'm nominating @Dexfletch @TinieTempah @edsheeran.
It is important to note that #FeelingNuts does not require any donation, but instead it aims on "getting everyone to check their "love grenades" could help men needlessly dying from a preventable form of cancer."
It is nice to see celebrities "lighten up" and help raise awareness about testicular cancer. #FeelingNuts.
