'Serena' Reunites Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper After 'Silver Linings Playbook': Susanne Brier's Film Adaptation of Ron Nash's Novel Trailer Released: WATCH
'Serena' Reunites Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper After 'Silver Linings Playbook'
Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence fans will rejoice as the much awaited "Serena" film will be coming to theaters soon.
After two top-grossing movies, "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle," Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper get together again in a movie called "Serena," which is set to be shown in the United Kingdon on Oct. 24 and in the United States in the early 2015.
While Cooper is known for his role in the "Hangover" trilogy, Lawrence is famous for the "Hunger Games" series and the recent "X-Men: Days of the Future Past."
"Serena" is directed by Oscar winner Susanne Brier, who was said to be so perfectionistic that the film stayed in the post production stage to further enhance the film's look and feel.
Cooper and Lawrence will play as newlyweds in a depression-era time period in 1929.
George (Cooper) and Serena (Lawrence) travel from Boston and to the mountains of North Carolina where they plan to build and start a timber empire. George lived long at camp and has fathered an illegitimate child. Serena is fairly new to the mountain life and isn't familiar with it, but she soon proves herself as equal and as strong as men. But, when Serena learns that she cannot bear a child, she sets out to kill George's illegitimate child.
According to the book "Serena" by Ron Nash, from which this movie was based on, the couple kills anyone who stands in their way. In the beginning of the story, George kills Abe, the father of his pregnant ex. In the end, Serena has Jacob, George's illegitimate child, murdered. Serena even tricks George and leaves him to die at the woods. So, for anyone who expects a romantic or sensual movie, they might be shocked at the events.
The movie was said to have been finished last year 2013, but some unforeseen complications about the distribution of the film. Fortunately, all disputes have been solved .
