Madagascar 4 Movie Release Date, Reveals, News, Rumors and Updates: Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Shwimmer and Jada Pinkette Smith to Reprise their Roles

It is hard to get tired of the foursome from the New York Zoo although in Madagascar 2 we came scarily close. Madagascar 2 was not a good movie it however managed to gross 602 million dollars worldwide at the box office which was more than its predecessor. Europe's Most Wanted, by far the second best in the franchise managed almost 800 million dollars in gross. The franchise has given rise to The Penguins of Madagascar, a TV series that features the penguins back in the zoo alongside King Julian and other characters. The famous four are missing from the series and specials and movies are the only way we get to see them. Rumors of Madagascar 4 were quickly quashed although DreamWorks later admitted to be working on the project and went ahead to announce a May 18^th 2018 movie release date.

Europe's Most Wanted ended with the animals escaping on a hot air balloon back to Madagascar. The plot for the fourth movie I not yet out and considering how far away the release date is chances are they are still in pre production. All we can do is speculate as to what to expect. No doubt DreamWorks and Paramount are looking to finally hit the one billion dollar mark worldwide. The creators are right now preparing for the release of Penguins of Madagascar, a feature film about the penguins set to be released in November of 2014. This movie has been long overdue and is set to pick up where Europe's Most Wanted left off. We expect it shall have some Easter eggs to point us in the direction that Madagascar 4 will take.

Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Shwimmer and Jada Pinkette Smith are expected to reprise their roles. Anything past that is a still a mystery but as the release date comes closer we expect we shall get more news, especially after they have released Penguins of Madagascar.
