Apple Sent Invites For iPad Air 2 Launch On October 16: Will Apple Pay, Yoisemite X OS Also Be Launched?
Apple is all set to hold another media event on October 16 to launch new products. The company invited press members on Wednesday with the subject "It's been way too long."
Apart from the new iPad Air, the company is expected to launch its next-generation Mac operating system, the OS X Yosemite at the event. The company has also vowed to launch Apple Pay, a mobile payment system that was introduced this month for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The Oct. 16 event was initially revealed last week by Re/code, which categorized the event as a 'laid-back affair' compared to the previous launching and affairs that took place last September.
Last month, AppleInsider reported that Apple has planned to release its major product in mid to late October.
According to sources, the company prepared marketing deadlines to launch the new products for mid-October and is sticking to it. The lineup for the launch this year is being speculated to bring the additional Touch ID fingerprint sensor technology that is iPhone-exclusive. More likely that new iPads will embrace similar A8 processor, which is present in the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Furthermore, the company revealed that Apple Pay, which is a secure mobile payment service (NFC-based) for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus might also be launched in this event.
In related news, a new version of Apple TV is also long overdue but reports have suggested that the gadget will not be seen until next year. But it ought to be mentioned that there is no official news about the launch of a new version of Apple TV from the Apple so far.
It has also been rumored that Apple is quietly working on a top-secret project about MacBook Air to be launched next year.
The new model is going to fix the internal hardware of the Macbook Air especially its cooling fan which causes it to overheat easily. There are also reports that the trackpad would be click-less, but as always, Apple is keeping their silence amidst rumors.
