iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Reviews: Bigger Screens and Longer Battery Life Commended; High Price Remains an Issue
Apple has set a record breaking sales for its new flagship smartphones. The bigger and better iPhones have neutralized the smartphone market standing, that was once dominated by the Korea-based company, Samsung.
Amidst hitting its $21 million market sales, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus are getting mixed reviews from tech-savvies. So what is it about these two new Apple smartphones that is making the people both captivated and disappointed?
The most talked about feature of the both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus is its large display screens. Business Spectator reported that Apple has been sticking to its 4-inches displays and its consumers eventually got tired of it. It can be noted that Steve Jobs, company's founder, is not in favor of big smartphones.
This is a step closer to Samsung's bigger phablets like Galaxy Notes and Galaxy Mega.
In terms of structure, Trusted Reviews noted that both iPhone and iPhone 6 plus are made of curved aluminum and are available in two colors, gold or light/dark silver. On the other hand, iPhone 6 is thinner and lighter at 6.88 mm. thick and 129 grams, as compared to iPhone 6 plus' 7.11 mm. thick and 172 grams dimension.
iPhone 6 plus at 5.5 inches, also has the bigger Retina HD screens than iPhone 6, which measures at 4.7 inches. The bigger smartphone also has the stronger and longer battery life. Users can use iPhone 6 plus for 14 hours of video play or 12 hours of browsing while iPhone 6 can last up to 11 hours of either video or browsing.
This new set of phone range is said to be the best improvement the company has made. Apple is "making its stamina a bit closer to top Android phones like the Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Galaxy S5," according to the same report from Trusted Reviews.
In terms of camera, operating system and processors, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus is the same. The two smartphones both have 8MP camera, iOS 8 operating system and dual core 1.4GHz 64-bit processor.
On the other hand, Latin Post reported that the notable improvements are still not enough especially with its expensive price. The 64 gigabyte iPhone 6 costs $299 while the same iPhone 6 plus costs $399.
With its close-ended programming and more expensive price, Apple iPhone might not be able to remain as a must-have smartphone for a longer period of time.
