Married at First Sight Season 2 Premiere Date: Exclusive Details
When it comes to experimental shows, Married at First Sight was probably at the top of this list in 2014. FYI took a huge risk with a format where couples get married based on scientific opinions and their gut feeling. However, the first season was hugely popular and now makers are roping in new people to create another season after the success.
According to latest updates, the coming season will feature 11 episodes and the makers are keen to keep the original format without making a lot of changes. Of course, they will bring in more couples to make the watching experience even more entertaining.
As far as the release date for Married at First Sight Season 2 is concerned, it will air in mid 2015, somewhere around July or August. Meanwhile, the makers are keen to find new faces for the show and they have even launched a casting call few days back on the official website for channel FYI. Any individual planning to get married and find their soul mate through the show is welcome to register for the audition.
You probably know that Season 1 featured spiritualist, sexologist, sociologist, and psychologist that helped couples decide what's right for them. However, many critics believed that this was the most absurd way to find a life partner on television and strongly condemned the show for that. In fact, many believed that such marriages will never work out at all. Interestingly, the show witnessed huge marriage success as two out of three couples chose to stay married, believing that they have found the right partner.
This is probably the only reason that the makers believe in this format and plan to bring in more couples. So, what actually started as a social experiment is now something that has changed lives and perception of marriages for many across the country and world.
Notably, till the episode eight for season 1 the viewers increased by a terrific 250% and continued o grow till the end. This is definitely the number channel and makers will like to target for the coming episodes too.
