Alice in Wonderland 2 Release Date and Other News: James Robin Set to Direct new Alice Film with two new cast members to join the original Alice cast

If you have been wondering if there will be any Alice in Wonderland sequel, then you're just in for a treat. The well-loved children's story will be brought back to the big screen as Alice in Wonderland: Through
the Looking Glass.

Alice in Wonderland 2 will be directed by James Robin, who previously worked on The Muppets and Muppets Most Wanted, and will return with new cast members joining old ones. Sacha Baron Cohen and Rhys Ifans will be joining the cast and crew and they will be portraying Time and the Mad Hatter's father respectively. They will join the original cast of Anne Hathaway, Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham-Carter and the voice talents of Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, Toby Jones and Timothy Spall - all of which will be reprising their roles for Alice in Wonderland 2.

It is hinted that the Alice in Wonderland 2 film will be deviating from how Tim Burton does his movies as this time, the audience will be taken around the different parts of the Underworld.

Alice in Wonderland 2 will be produced by Tim Burton, Joe Roth, Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd. To pen the script is Linda Woolverton, who worked on several story adaptations before such as Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent and Alice In Wonderland. Award-winning composer Danny Elfman will also be returning to produce the music for Alice in Wonderland 2.

Alice in Wonderland 2 is set for a May 27, 2016 release.
