'The Hunger Games Official Trailer Is Here:' Mockingjay Part 1 In Theaters On Nov. 21 [Watch]
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, the third sequel of the blockbuster Hunger Games series, is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 21.
Fans of the franchise are now excited to watch the new adventures and romance of Katniss Everdeen, the character played by American actress Jennifer Lawrence.
In the second installment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Everdeen was rescued by her childhood friend Gale (played by Liam Hemsworth), after the barriers that covered the game area was destroyed. When Everdeen gained consciousness, she searched for her sweetheart Peeta Mellark (played by Josh Hutcherson). Unfortunately, she was not able to see him because the Capitol caught Mellark. This left Everdeen brokenhearted.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1 is expected to be action-packed like the previous movies, as Everdeen will lead a group of rebels from District 13 into a war.
The trailer showed Everdeen having a conversation with President Snow (the character played by Donald Sutherland), expressing her disgust of the game. She said she's leading a rebellion among workers of District 13. In the trailer, people from other districts were inspired by the leadership of Everdeen and even formed their own rebel group to revolt against the Capitol and the Peacekeepers.
The expected twist in this upcoming installment is that Mellark will turn against Everdeen and the people of District 13 as he decided to side with the Capitol. This, however, did not discourage Everdeen and persisted to rescue Mellark from the hands of the Capitol.
To the delight of its fans worldwide, aside from the trailer, a new poster was also released for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1."
The trailer of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1" has stirred excitement among the fans of the books and movie. This is despite the recent controversy involving its lead star Jennifer Lawrence.
Lawrence claimed that she has become a victim of cyber security breach when nude photos of her circulated on the Internet. The actress explained that those nude photos were for her private personal items as those were stored in her iPhone. Apple denied that there are flaws on its security measures and cited malicious hackers to be behind the incident.
