Motorola Moto X vs. Moto E Features, Specs, Display: A Comprehensive Comparison & Review - Which One You Should Buy?
Smartphone manufacturer Motorola has kept the pace of the largest revolving mobile market with its releases. Last month the company released Moto X that has already captured the attention of tech enthusiasts with its stunning design and quality specification. Let's have a quick review of two of the Motorola's this year's release Moto X and Moto E.
Moto E, which was released in May offers 4.3-inches display size with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The display type is general capacitive touchscreen that has 256 pixels per inch pixel density. On the other hand, the latest Moto X has extreme display quality with 424 pixels per inch pixel density packed in a 5.2-inch display. The intensity of the pixels is so greatly balanced wit 1080 x 1920 pixels that it offers excellent image quality. The display type is the latest AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. Both the devices are protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Moto E is a budget device that comes with 5MP rear camera sensor that can record video of 480p at 30 frames per second. The phone lacks the provision for the secondary camera. GSMARENA states that technically sound Moto X burns the stage with stunning 13MP rear facing camera that can record HD 2160p video at 30 fps. The front camera is provided with 2 MP of sensor that can record 1080p videos.
Moto E is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset that supports Dual-Core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor and the GPU is equipped with moderate Adreno 302 chip. The high-end Moto X is strongly configured with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 assisted by Quad-Core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor. As mentioned in the GizMag the GPU department is specialized by Adreno 330 chip to provide heavy duty graphics support. The Moto E is operated by 1GB of RAM whereas the Moto X is slotted with 2GB of RAM.
Hence, the Moto E was released early this year with Android version 4.4.2KitKat but the device might be upgradable to Android 5.0 L while the Moto X comes with Android 4.4.4KitKat and upgradable to Android 5.0(Lollypop)according to Pocket-Lint. Moto E internal memory holds 4GB of space with 32 GB expandable external storage while Moto X has 16/32 GB internal memory space but lacks the facility of external storage system.
