The Blacklist Season 2 Reveals: New Cast Introduction Mary-Louise Parker from Weeds is Snatched for Role in Season 2
The second season of the Blacklist may throw a bit of an in depth focus into the true relationship between Reddington and Elizabeth Keane. For now all that we have to go on about the two is that she might or might not be his daughter. Of course, there are contradicting stories especially the plot that Tom had us going on which suggested to Elizabeth something of a contradiction and obviously this will spill into the second installment of the season which is set to premiere on NBC in the fall season, probably October.
The season will also pick up from the climactic end of the first season that saw the identity of Berlin, the master mind come into focus. Berlin made quite a dramatic entrance into New York with the intention of brining war and destruction down upon Reddington and everything that he loves. Therefore, we can expect to see the two giants strategize and battle it out until someone dies. Similarly, the second season will also reveal to us the fate of Tom who was left for dead but may actually still be alive. We still do not know for sure.
Perhaps the most significant casting news that are out so far is that Mary-Louise Parker will be part of the ensemble for season 2. She is known for her ability to go between Drama and Comedy but this will feature a serious twist no doubt. All that is known about her role at the moment is that she is Naomi Highland and that she has some very big ties to Reddington and his enterprises, and she will appear from time to time within the installment. The introduction of Parker has an interesting intrigue because it could be we are being introduced to Liz's mother which would piece the other side of the mystery of what happened to her. Overall, the task force is quite shaken up but ready to continue with the job that is for now solely focused on Berlin. Whether or not this mission is for Reddington or the task force is not clear yet.
