Ryan Phillippe is making his directorial debut and also starring in the new suspense movie Catch Hell. The film has released its first trailer and Phillippe is sporting a serious head. It is a very intense trailer and sets the mood for a thriller of a movie.
Catch Hel/ is about a washed up Hollywood actor Reagon Pearce (Phillippe) who is kidnapped by thugs on the way to work in Shreveport, Louisiana. Trapped in a swamp hut, his kidnappers torture and blackmail him, hijacking his twitter account and threatening to upload compromising material."
"The trailer for #catchhell out thurs. i tell you where to find it that morn then you gotta tell me yo thoughts on it deal?," Ryan tweeted to his fans on social media about the trailer yesterday when it was made public.
The 39-year-old actor had his hands all over this film, co-wroting, directing and starring in the film. The movie also stars Joyful Drake, Tig Notaro, James Dumont, Hakim Callender, Ramona Tyler, Stephen Louis Grush, Russ Russo, Heidi Brook Myers, Ian Barford, Forrest Forte, Skipper Landry and more.
Ryan Phillippe's new film Catch Hell is set to release to theaters on October 10th.
Catch Hel/ is produced by Robert Ogden Barnum and Holly Wiersma, with executive producers Mark Burg and Cassian Elwes.
Phillippe became a household name in the 90's with his roles in movies such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions, and 54. In the 2000s, he appeared in several films, including 2001's Academy Award for Best Picture nominee Gosford Park, 2005's Academy Award-winning ensemble film Crash, and the 2006 war drama Flags of Our Fathers.
