Marvel's Agent Carter Series Coming to ABC in 2015 Starring Chad Michael Murray and Hayley Atwell
Marvel's "Agent Carter" series is set to premiere on ABC in early 2015 Starring Chad Michael Murray and Hayley Atwell.
The series is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will debut in January 2015 during the season 2 mid-season break of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Murray will star as SSR Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj ("Dollhouse") is playing the role of Agent Daniel Sousa. They will both meet Carter (Hayley Atwell) while she takes on a new role at the SSR in New York City.
"Agent Carter" follows the story of Peggy Carter: it's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life-Steve Rogers.
The "Agent Carter" mini-series is set to be eight episodes long and will air in that show's time slot on Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m.
"Marvel's Agent Carter" was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Executive producers are Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Chris Dingess, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Stan Lee and Jeph Loeb. The series is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.
Hayley Elizabeth Atwell is best known for her work in stage productions such as A View from the Bridge, and in films such as Cassandra's Dream (2007), The Duchess (2008), The Pillars of the Earth (2010), and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).
