The Upcoming Movie Captain America 3: Steve Rogers vs. the Winter Soldier, but who are the Twin Siblings from the credit ending of Captain America 2?
On May 6, 2016, Steve Rogers will be back for the Winter Soldier in the upcoming movie: Captain America 3! More details are yet to come, but the movie directors claim that Captain America 3 will generally be about the Winter Soldier's character shift from a war prisoner to a dreaded antagonist. The rumor has it that the Red Skull is also coming back. While the information regarding the new movie is mostly rumors and vague claims, the credit scenes from its previous movie, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", gave us something definite: the two characters, who are apparently the twin siblings - the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver - so who are these two?
The twins usually leave the Marvel fans puzzled; sometimes they are Avengers' allies, and in other times they are X-Men's enemies.
The Scarlet Witch, whose actual name is Wanda, has these powers: depowering mutants, altering probability, and recreating universes. For that she is considered a mutant with one of the most threatening capabilities. Her twin brother, Quicksilver, whose actual name is Pietro, can move and think at a speed of light, and can seem like he is traveling through time.
In contrast, the twins were ranked as one of the "6 Creepiest Comic Book Characters of All Time", while the twins' back story was ranked as one of the "5 Most Disturbing X-Men Love Affairs" in 2010. Why? It is said that the Scarlet Witch looks a lot like their mother, and Quicksilver is unusually drawn to her, suggesting a rather odd sexual tension between the twins. Yet, the actors playing the two said in an interview that the twins were "abandoned by their parents...looking out for themselves and each other", and that for Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch is "the one who looks after him, and vice versa. He's very over-protective physically - he doesn't want anyone touching her".
As for the actors playing the twins, Elizabeth Olsen plays the role of the Scarlet Witch, while Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the character of Quicksilver. Those who have watched the "Oldboy" (of Spike Lee) and the movie "Kick-Ass" are already familiar with these actors.
Captain America 3 is scheduled to premiere on May 6, 2016.
