Mortal Kombat X Release Date and Other News: More Fatalities, Returning Characters, Improved Gameplay and A Multi-platform Release including PC and PS3
Mortal Kombat fans rejoice - or rather start panicking for your wallets - because Mortal Kombat X will be released sooner than anticipated!
The popular fighting game franchise's producer Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed that Mortal Kombat X will be released by the summer of next year, April 14, 2015 to be exact. It will be released in multiple platforms such as Xbox 260, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Along with the fast approaching release are bonuses as well. There will be additions to the steady pool of the Mortal Kombat X characters if fans were to pre-order their game. They will be offering four-armed fighter, Goro, as a bonus DLC character for those who have pre-ordered the game. Aside from Goro, other classic characters like Raiden, Scorpion, Kano, Kotal Kahn and Sub-Zero will be making comebacks on Mortal Kombat X and if there are old characters, there will be new ones as well. The game will be introducing new characters like Johnny Cahe and Sonya Blade's daughter, Cassie and D'Vorah.
How do Mortal Kombat X fatalities sound to anyone? Yes, aside from a great roster of characters, certain gameplays iconic to the franchise will be returned including Fatality. Ed Boon, the series' creator, added that they have added Babality to the Mortal Kombat X gameplay. Aside from old classics, Mortal Kombat X's gameplay will also be bringing in something new and that is giving the player the ability to pick a fighting style for the character they will be playing with.
