The Real Genius movie turns into a TV series; Thanks to ABC and Sony
Many television networks nowadays are into turning films into various types of TV series. One of the reported films up for a series is The Real Genius movie, who hit theatres in 1985. The film was directed by Martha Coolidge. Under Coolidge expert's hands, she had helped the star of the movie, Val Kilmer make it in Hollywood.
At present, the series version of 'The Real Genius' is currently under development with NBC network along with Adam Sandler's production company and Sony working with them. Many are thinking that this could be the network's idea of filling the void left behind of 'Community', one of their series that said goodbye to weekly airing. It also aims to, at the very least, fall under, if not surpass, the ranks equal to the success of the hit comedy series 'The Big Bang Theory.'
For those who weren't born yet at the time or haven't had the opportunity to see the movie, let's talk a little about what it is about. The film was a huge hit back in 1985. It is about a group of students in Pacific Tech who were developing a chemical laser who have their fair share of antics. There is no news yet as to whether the series will be following up even with the movie's ending, in which, we suggest, that you buy, download, or rent, to watch for yourselves. Don't worry, it will be worth your time and dime.
We'll keep you updated with more developments about the movie, so keep on stopping by.
