Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Release Date: Coming Early Christmas!
Fans of the Lara Croft franchise will be having an early Christmas as Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will be releasing this December 9.
The upcoming video game is a sequel to the preceding Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light which came out back in August 2010. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will also be produced by Crystal Dynamics and will also be published by Square Enix.
The upcoming Lara Croft game is different from traditional games however. The game is mostly aimed at a cooperative gameplay experience. Unlike the traditional third person games from the franchise, the upcoming game is, instead, a top down dungeon crawler, much like its predecessor.
Keeley Hawes will still be reprising his voice acting role as Lara Croft from the Guardian of Light video game.
Players of the game will have the option to pick either Lara Croft or another main character, the archeologist named Carter. The setting of the game will still be in Egypt. The plot involves Lara Croft and Carter breaking into an ancient temple, and upon entering, the two will be marked with a death curse. But, by helping demigods Isis and Horus, they may see the light at the end of the day.
Another new feature for the sequel is the additional support for up to four players. Aside from Lara Croft and Carter, players will also be able to play the demigods Isis and Horus, each with designated unique powers.
